A few days ago I stumbled across the photography work of Alcove on deviantART. I have to say his gallery kept me around for a while staring at the various photos and samples, and even brought me back a few days later for more inspiration. His work can only be described as somewhat eerie but strangely beautiful at the same time. There wasn’t much to learn about Alcove other than he’s from Poland, and has a wonderful deviantART gallery to share.

I’ve been off of my regular blogging schedule for the past few weeks. I’ve been working to update the site a bit (as you can see), and it’s taken most of my attention. Stay tuned for more site updates to come. For this post I’ve created 6 Free Ornate Vector Swirls. These swirls were created using custom art brushes in Adobe Illustrator. Swirly graphics like these are very trendy right now, and you can find them all over the web. What I wanted to do here, to set these apart from the rest, was to make these very detailed, very free, and hopefully very usable in your design work.
If you happen to download and use this set please feel free to share. I’ve created a flickr group just for that, right here.
Earlier this week GoMedia released their Hand Drawn Vector Wings as part of Vector Pack 14. At first glance you may be thinking… Okay, here’s some more vector wings, what’s the big deal? If that’s the case, you haven’t experienced the quality, detail, and vector goodness that is the GoMedia Arsenal. The folks at GoMedia are not messing around. The quality of the work that they do is incredible. Hands down, if you aren’t packing GoMedia work into your design “arsenal”… You are missing out.
